मोक्ष संन्यास योग (Moksha Sannyaasa Yoga) – श्लोक 7
श्लोक ७ में नियत कर्मों के त्याग को अयोग्य और तामस बताया गया है। Verse 7: Renunciation of prescribed duties is improper and considered tamasic.
संस्कृत श्लोक
नियतस्य तु संन्यासः कर्मणो नोपपद्यते। मोहात्तस्य परित्यागस्तामसः परिकीर्तितः॥७॥
niyatasya tu sannyāsaḥ karmaṇo nopapadyate | mohāt tasya parityāgas tāmasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ ||7||

नियतस्य: of prescribed duties; तु: indeed; संन्यासः: renunciation; कर्मणः: of action; न: not; उपपद्यते: is proper; मोहात्: due to delusion; तस्य: of that; परित्यागः: abandonment; तामसः: in the mode of ignorance; परिकीर्तितः: is declared.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नियत कर्मों का संन्यास उचित नहीं है। मोह से उनका त्याग करना तामस त्याग कहा गया है।
English Translation
Renunciation of prescribed duties is not proper. Abandoning them due to delusion is declared to be in the mode of ignorance.
टीका / Commentary
नित्य नैमित्तिक कर्म (जैसे सन्ध्या, यज्ञ) जो शास्त्र द्वारा विहित हैं, उनका त्याग करना उचित नहीं। यदि अज्ञान या मोहवश त्याग किया जाए तो वह तामस त्याग है।
