मोक्ष संन्यास योग (Moksha Sannyaasa Yoga) – श्लोक 25
श्लोक २५ में तामस कर्म का लक्षण बताया गया है। Verse 25: Tamasic action is undertaken out of delusion, ignoring consequences, loss, injury, and one's ability.
संस्कृत श्लोक
अनुबन्धं क्षयं हिंसामनपेक्ष्य च पौरुषम्। मोहादारभ्यते कर्म यत्तत्तामसमुच्यते॥२५॥
anubandhaṃ kṣayaṃ hiṃsām anapekṣya ca pauruṣam | mohād ārabhyate karma yat tat tāmasam ucyate ||25||

हिंदी अनुवाद
जो कर्म परिणाम, हानि, हिंसा और सामर्थ्य को बिना विचारे केवल मोह से आरम्भ किया जाता है – वह तामस कहलाता है।
English Translation
That action which is undertaken out of delusion, without considering the consequences, loss, injury, and one's own ability – that is called tamasic.
टीका / Commentary
तामस कर्म में विवेक का सर्वथा अभाव होता है। न तो परिणाम का ध्यान, न हानि का विचार, न हिंसा का भय, न अपनी क्षमता का आकलन। ऐसा कर्म अज्ञान से प्रेरित होता है।
