श्लोक १४: शारीरिक तप – देवता, द्विज, गुरु, प्राज्ञ की पूजा, शौच, सरलता, ब्रह्मचर्य, अहिंसा। Verse 14: Physical austerity consists of worship of gods, brahmins, teachers, the wise; purity, straightforwardness, celibacy, and non-injury.

देवद्विजगुरुप्राज्ञपूजनं शौचमार्जवम्। ब्रह्मचर्यमहिंसा च शारीरं तप उच्यते॥१४॥
deva-dvija-guru-prājña-pūjanaṁ śaucam ārjavam | brahmacaryam ahiṁsā ca śārīraṁ tapa ucyate ||14||

English Translation
Worship of the gods, the twice-born, the teacher, and the wise; purity, straightforwardness, celibacy, and non-injury – these are said to be austerity of the body.
टीका / Commentary
शारीरिक तप के अंतर्गत शरीर द्वारा किए जाने वाले धार्मिक आचरण आते हैं – जैसे देवता, गुरु और ज्ञानियों का सम्मान, बाहरी और आंतरिक शुद्धि, सरल व्यवहार, ब्रह्मचर्य और अहिंसा। Physical austerity consists of reverential service to gods, brahmins, teachers, and the wise, along with cleanliness, honesty, celibacy, and non-violence – all performed through the body.
