श्लोक ११: बिना फल-इच्छा के, कर्तव्य-भाव से शास्त्रीय विधि से किया यज्ञ सात्त्विक है। Verse 11: The sacrifice performed without desire, as duty, according to scriptures, is sattvic.

अफलाकाङ्क्षिभिर्यज्ञो विधिदृष्टो य इज्यते। यष्टव्यमेवेति मनः समाधाय स सात्त्विकः॥११॥
aphalākāṅkṣibhir yajño vidhi-dṛṣṭo ya ijyate | yaṣṭavyam eveti manaḥ samādhāya sa sāttvikaḥ ||11||

हिंदी अनुवाद
जो यज्ञ फल की इच्छा न रखने वालों द्वारा, केवल यह मानकर कि यह कर्तव्य है, शास्त्र-विधि के अनुसार किया जाता है – वह सात्त्विक होता है।
English Translation
That sacrifice which is performed according to the scriptures, by those who desire no fruit, and with the mind fixed on the idea that it is a duty to be performed – that is sattvic.
टीका / Commentary
सात्त्विक यज्ञ वह है जो बिना किसी फल की आकांक्षा के, केवल कर्तव्य-बुद्धि से, शास्त्रीय विधि के अनुसार किया जाता है। यह शुद्ध भाव और समर्पण का प्रतीक है। A sattvic sacrifice is performed without desire for reward, strictly according to scriptural rules, with the conviction that it is one's duty.
