अर्जुन विषाद योग (Arjuna Vishada Yoga) – श्लोक 33
श्लोक ३३ में अर्जुन बताते हैं कि जिनके लिए वे राज्य चाहते थे, वे ही युद्ध में खड़े हैं। Verse 33: Arjuna says that those for whose sake he desired the kingdom are now standing in battle.

येषामर्थे काङ्क्षितं नो राज्यं भोगाः सुखानि च | त इमेऽवस्थिता युद्धे प्राणांस्त्यक्त्वा धनानि च ||३३||
yeṣāmarthe kāṅkṣitaṃ no rājyaṃ bhogāḥ sukhāni ca | ta ime'vasthitā yuddhe prāṇāṃstyaktvā dhanāni ca ||33||

जिनके लिए हम राज्य, भोग और सुख चाहते थे, वे ही लोग यहाँ प्राण और धन त्यागकर युद्ध में खड़े हैं।
English Translation
Those for whose sake we desire kingdom, enjoyments, and pleasures are now standing here ready to fight, having given up their lives and wealth.
टीका / Commentary
अर्जुन कहते हैं कि जिन लोगों के लिए वे राज्य चाहते थे (उनके भाई, पुत्र आदि), वे ही अब युद्ध में उनके सामने हैं। Arjuna points out that those for whom he desired the kingdom are now arrayed against him.
