कर्म योग (Karma Yoga) – श्लोक 43
श्लोक ४३ में कामरूपी दुर्जय शत्रु को मारने का उपाय बताया गया है। Verse 43: Knowing that which is beyond the intellect, restrain the mind and slay desire.
संस्कृत श्लोक
एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना | जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम् ||४३||
evaṃ buddheḥ paraṃ buddhvā saṃstabhyātmānam ātmanā | jahi śatruṃ mahābāho kāmarūpaṃ durāsadam ||43||
पदच्छेद / शब्दार्थ
एवम्: इस प्रकार; बुद्धे: बुद्धि से; परम्: परे (आत्मा) को; बुद्ध्वा: जानकर; संस्तभ्य: स्थिर करके; आत्मानम्: मन को; आत्मना: अपने (बुद्धि) द्वारा; जहि: मार; शत्रुम्: शत्रु को; महाबाहो: हे महाबाहो; कामरूपम्: काम के रूप में; दुरासदम्: दुर्जय।
हिंदी अनुवाद
इस प्रकार बुद्धि से परे (आत्मा) को जानकर, बुद्धि द्वारा मन को स्थिर करके, हे महाबाहो! इस दुर्जय कामरूपी शत्रु को मार डाल।
English Translation
Thus knowing that which is beyond the intellect, and restraining the mind by the intellect, O mighty-armed, slay this enemy in the form of desire, which is difficult to conquer.
टीका / Commentary
यह अध्याय का समापन श्लोक है – आत्म-ज्ञान द्वारा बुद्धि से मन को वश में करके काम पर विजय पाओ। This is the concluding verse of the chapter – by knowing the Self, and controlling the mind with the intellect, conquer the formidable enemy called desire.
