अक्षर ब्रह्म योग (Aksara Brahma Yoga) – श्लोक 17
श्लोक १७ में ब्रह्मा के दिन-रात की अवधि बताई गई है। Verse 17 describes the duration of Brahma's day and night.

सहस्रयुगपर्यन्तमहर्यद्ब्रह्मणो विदुः । रात्रिं युगसहस्रान्तां तेऽहोरात्रविदो जनाः ॥ १७॥
sahasra-yuga-paryantam ahar yad brahmaṇo viduḥ | rātriṃ yuga-sahasrāntāṃ te 'ho-rātra-vido janāḥ ||17||
पदच्छेद / शब्दार्थ
सहस्रयुगपर्यन्तम्: lasting a thousand yugas; अहः: day; यत्: which; ब्रह्मणः: of Brahma; विदुः: know; रात्रिम्: night; युगसहस्रान्ताम्: ending after a thousand yugas; ते: they; अहोरात्रविदः: knowers of day and night; जनाः: persons.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जो पुरुष ब्रह्मा के दिन को (जो) हजार युगों का (है) और रात्रि को भी हजार युगों की अवधि वाली जानते हैं, वे मनुष्य अहोरात्र (समय) के ज्ञाता हैं।
English Translation
Those who know the day of Brahma, which lasts a thousand yugas, and the night of Brahma, which also lasts a thousand yugas, are the knowers of day and night.
टीका / Commentary
यह श्लोक ब्रह्मा के समय-चक्र का वर्णन करता है: उनका एक दिन 1000 महायुगों का होता है, और रात भी उतनी ही। यह काल की विशालता को दर्शाता है। This verse describes the time cycle of Brahma: his day lasts a thousand yugas, and his night also a thousand yugas. It shows the vastness of cosmic time.
