अर्जुन विषाद योग (Arjuna Vishada Yoga) – श्लोक 35
श्लोक ३५ में अर्जुन कहते हैं कि वे इन्हें नहीं मारना चाहते, चाहे कुछ भी मिले। Verse 35: Arjuna says he does not wish to kill them, even for the sovereignty of the three worlds.

एतान्न हन्तुमिच्छामि घ्नतोऽपि मधुसूदन | अपि त्रैलोक्यराज्यस्य हेतोः किं नु महीकृते ||३५||
etānna hantumicchāmi ghnato'pi madhusūdana | api trailokyarājyasya hetoḥ kiṃ nu mahīkṛte ||35||

हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मधुसूदन! मैं इन्हें मारना नहीं चाहता, चाहे ये मुझे ही क्यों न मारें, तीनों लोकों के राज्य के लिए भी नहीं, तो फिर पृथ्वी के लिए तो क्या कहना?
English Translation
O Madhusudana, I do not wish to kill them, even if they kill me, even for the sake of the kingdom of the three worlds, let alone for this earth.
टीका / Commentary
अर्जुन स्पष्ट कहते हैं कि वे युद्ध नहीं करना चाहते, चाहे उनकी जान चली जाए या तीनों लोकों का राज्य मिले। Arjuna declares he will not fight, even if it means his own death or the offer of universal sovereignty.
