It is believed about Somnath Jyotirlinga (Lord Bholenath) that the moon, ie Soma, was cursed by Prajapati Daksha, who had tuberculosis. The word Nageshwar literally means Lord of the Serpent. Snakes that are always found wrapped around the neck of Lord Bholenath. Therefore, this temple of Lord Bholenath is famous for liberation from poison and poison related diseases.
